Program Overview

The Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician Program at Quick Flow School of Health is a comprehensive, hands on training program designed to prepare students for careers in cardiovascular monitoring and diagnostic testing. This 6-week program provides 48 hours of classroom instruction and practical training, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to perform electrocardiograms in hospitals, physician offices, clinics, and other healthcare settings.

Students will learn the fundamentals of cardiac anatomy and physiology, the electrical conduction system of the heart, proper patient preparation, and accurate electrode placement for 12-lead EKG recordings. The program also includes instruction in rhythm recognition, infection control, patient care, and professional communication within a healthcare team.

Through guided practice and real world simulations, students gain hands on experience operating EKG equipment, performing EKG procedures, and identifying basic cardiac rhythms. This program is ideal for individuals seeking to enter the healthcare field or expand their clinical skill set.
