Program Overview
This program provides comprehensive training in the essential knowledge and skills required to perform phlebotomy with accuracy, safety, and professionalism. Students learn core principles in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, while also receiving instruction in OSHA standards, HIPAA compliance, and critical safety procedures.
Clinical Training Experience
Under expert supervision, students receive hands-on training in:
- Venipuncture
- Heel and finger sticks
- Skin punctures
- Specimen and fluid collection
Clinical instruction also includes:
- Infection prevention and control
- Specimen handling and quality assurance
